Calming

Good Evening blogger world. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This was my last weekend of summer and I took full advantage of it. I have been worthless today, besides going to the grocery store. I slept late with Hunter.. he's such a bed hogger :), then I made some eggs and hung out with one of my very best friends Anna. I took a nap early tonight. I know? What? Haha I feel asleep on the couch with Tom while watching Purple Rain for the fifth time. I hate tv. Anyways, I made some guacamole for dinner. It made my stomach hurt for some reason. Hmmm.. anyways, after my nap I played with Tom a bit and then have been laying on the couch ever since. Now I am drinking a delicious cup of chamomile tea waiting for my melatonin to kick in.
Tomorrow is the first day of school. The first day of school is always weird yet exciting. Freshman flowing all over campus not knowing where to go. All kinds of annoying people outside the union trying to get you to fill out surveys.  The line for Starbucks overflowing outside. But the great thing about the first day is that it rarely lasts that long. We go to class for a few minutes then out early! Hopefully. Haha. My first class isn't until 12. So I have time to relax and sleep and get myself together in the morning. I've got to figure out a good first day outfit to where. Not really, I'll probably just throw on something and make it decently cute. Haha. It's just so hot outside it's hard to care that much. I'm so ready for autumn. SO ready for it to be cold.
Wednesday morning, I start my yoga class at 7am.

Whew, I know... It's gonna be early but I think it's a really great way to start my days off. It's Monday and Wednesday mornings. Not gonna go tomorrow, I can mentally prepare for class and this semester. It's gonna take a while for me to get back in the groove. After what.. two weeks of a summer. :)

How was your summer?

5 New Strategies to help me this semester! (A few of my blogger friends that I follow do a "10 Things I love or 10 Things I love Sunday"), So I'm just going to do a different one this time.

1. Tea. I'm going to be drinking more and more of hot tea. Since I've given up caffeine for a good while.

2. Yoga.

3. Reading. This is what I'm currently reading.. for the second time :)

4. Walking more. I'm going to walk to class/the bus stop. I'm hoping to walk at night too, once it starts getting cooler.

5. Last but not least!!! PAINTING. I haven't painted in 2 months. I know, I'm a starving artist in this world and I took off 2 months. I just sold my giant candy apple painting to my uncle.. eeekkk! So glad I sold it. I always want someone to have my paintings rather than I keep them. I want someone else to enjoy them. :) So.. inspirations...

5.5 Ok, I know I said 5 Strategies Sunday, but I'm going to do a little one more.. I am going to be incredible more creative this semester. I want to make crafts and designs for my house and my room and the out side of my house. If you have any inspiring websites or blogs or magazines.. please please full me in!

Alright, I can kind of feel my melatonin kicking in. A little. Leave me your thoughts and ideas. I love making new friends and meeting wonderful people.

Sleep sleep well,
Kate
